Surprisingly good. Came in expecting bad service because a lady was complaining to the manager when we walked in. The manager did all she can do. We ordered a large amount of food and they got it all right the first time and even had to come back to clarify on a couple things. My drink was refilled when needed and the staff was all generally friendly despite a busy day. In all, great experience.

I never wrote a bad review but i went through the trouble and set up a yelp account just for this. Tonight we decided to have breakfast for dinner. Yay! Not really. I ordered the steak and eggs, the kids had pancakes, and the wife tried a steak dinner meal. I ordered my steak medium and scramble the eggs. The T bone looked as if it was thrown on the grill frozen because the outside was browned but the inside was red. Not red as in rare, im talking kinda purplish red like raw out of the package. I stopped eating that and finished my pancakes off. The waitress made herself scarce and was oblivious to my tables needs. Like silverware, drinks, etc. My wife recieved her meal 10 minutes after everyone else. She couldnt eat her steak because it was too salty. In the background you can hear the staff saying rude passive agressive comments to each other, loudly. When it was time to leave i stood up and immediately felt sick to my stomach. I fought it off long enough to make it home for some pepto. I also forgot the roach crawling on the wall at our booth. It was just an awesome trip.

I have not had very much luck with IHOP. After receiving a gift certificate, my husband and I decided to give them another chance. We went on Sunday morning about 10am and noticed that the lights in the waiting area were not on. We were immediately seated and ordered our drinks and breakfast. I really wanted IHOP to redeem itself for the past experiences I had. My husband and I both ordered coffee. I ordered chicken fried steak,2 eggs,2pancakes and hash browns. My husband had the breakfast sampler, 2 eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, hash browns and pancakes. When the waiter brought out our coffee carafe, there was only enough for a half cup of coffee for my husband and I. The container for the sugar only had 2 packets of real sugar and was never refilled even after asking. While we were waiting for our breakfast to arrive, 2 young men seated at the booth on the side of us decided that it would be a great idea to play music loudly on his iPhone!!! It appeared that they may work there but perhaps had just gotten off the clock. I never once saw a manager to speak with regarding the offensive music being played. I spoke with my waiter to see if he could assist but they continued to play their music. When our food arrived and we begin eating I realized my chicken fried steak was very cold and had a grayish tinge, almost like it was "just taken out of the fridge " kind of cold!!! I never send food back, it is a pet peeve of mine, but because I really could not eat it, I sent it back. By the time my chicken fried steak came back, my husband had finished his breakfast (the portion that was edible) I decided to just get to go containers instead of enduring the iPhone music and employee chattering. When we were paying, my husband inquired about the lights in the waiting area being off and the cashier just shrugged it off and said " I hadn't even noticed" again, I never saw a manager. I really had hoped that we would have a delightful Sunday breakfast but I was very disappointed.

Came in on a sunday and didnt have to wait to long for a table. The food was typical of an IHOP. The restaurant over all wasnt very clean and the menu pages were stuck together I had to peel them apart.

I was trying to order to-go breakfast on the phone. When I called, their first attempt to put me on hold was a hang up. I immediately called back, the person that answered the phone was polite but then put me on hold again. I was a good sport about it. I waited a solid 10mins (not exaggerating) before hanging up because I was on hold to long for a to go. I didn't get to order. I'm sure they are not that busy at 2am in the morning to not take my order. Very disappointed.

Second visit to I-hop in this town, wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I did go right after the lunch crowd. The food was ok at best. Warm and not a lot of flavor. (3 stars). Of course as a former army ranger i do eat pretty much anything that doesn't eat me first. I will say the waitress, Linda, was very nice and friendly. She made sure everything was right and that i was happy. She is why I gave 4 stars instead of 3.

It's just your typical IHOP restaurant. Located on the edge of Lake Charles. I tried to order a club sandwich which they came back to me with no turkey. What no turkey? Ok, I gave it another chance and order the Philly. Which was quite good. The reason I have it 1 star was because the good was ok. The service and restaurant are another thing. The server "T" came by and took our order. Then we had to ask for refills, napkins, and silverware 2 times. Then my friend tried to order some ice cream. No menus around and then it came with little to no chocolate syrup. He asked for more and we she finally came back it was like a spoonful. Then we were dealing with nats flying around everything was sticky and nasty. I would not go back again even though the food was fairly good. By the way this location is just a little rougher if you ask me. If you don't mind bars on the windows and poor service. This place is your kinda restaurant.

Wow should have listened to the Yelp! reviews...waiter was ok but a lilltle too sassy for us! The food was way under seasoned! Then when we told the manager he pretty much ignored us. But they did take the wifes Chicken & Chirozo buritto off the bill but to be fair it was missing the "Chicken"! Needless to say we will NOT be back!

What a terrible shame that they can still boast the iHop name and reputation and have some of the worst service we have ever had. Could not get waited on. Don't depend on the normal friendly clean reputation that iHop boasts at this location.

3rd time here. The service gets worse on each visit. The food is, surprisingly, consistently decent for the service to be so bad. I'm not sure how they stay in business at this point. The employees almost seem p'd off to see you walk in the door. Today we had to ask for enough silverware for everyone, all for refills, and ask for the parts of our meals. Servers should at least know the basics of the menu they're serving. Stay away. Go down the road to kd's diner for 24 hour breakfast.

I came in around 3 or 4am a couple weeks ago so I could get coffee and breakfast while I studied for an exam. There were 2 other tables being served when I walked in. They obviously weren't expecting customers that early because it took calling out for help to get seated. I was polite and explained that my phone was almost dead and I would like to be seated near an outlet so I could charge it. The only outlet was behind the service desk in the front lobby so I sat in the booth that shares the other side of the wall. Although I explained to the waitress that I would be drinking a lot of coffee (about 1 pot every 5-7 minutes) service was slow and ultimately I only received 2 refills for my entire stay which was until 5am. I had a western omelette that I added hot sauce to. It was very satisfying and I was given enough space to allow for studying while also having relatively good timing for getting me things that I needed. There were a few obvious flaws like waiting to be seated and in constant need of more coffee and cream and sugar but other than that, the waitress was incredibly nice and accommodating and I made a B on my exam!

If you haven't been to or don't know what IHOP offers, you are living sheltered life. So I won't go into the menu here. The portion sizes are decent, but for some reason I always leave here half satisfied, especially if I order something other than breakfast. The wait staff is great, and this IHOP is actually the training ground for other IHOP's servers, although I must admit that my server has disappeared on occasion if they are busy.

Ran out of waffles for breakfast on a Thursday morning. Slow service due to state inspection. Frozen strawberries cold on top of french toast. Not great overall.

I walked in around 9, was sat and looked through the menu for several minutes. My waitress was a very sociable woman named Skye (Sky maybe? Not sure how she spells it). She was friendly throughout my visit. I asked her if they had the blackberry crepes, but they were out of blackberries and should have more in a day or two. I told her that was fine; I had seen them online and wanted to try them, they weren't on the menu, but I had decided to ask anyway. Apparently they're on the special menu insert, but they were out of or there was some kind of issue with those too. I ordered the mushroom and spinach burger with no mayo and onion rings for the side. It took a while to get out, but Skye apologized for the wait. It came out with fries instead of onion rings, which I pointed out. Skye left me the burger to eat while I was waiting for the rings. She said there was a new cook working tonight and that she was really tired and had a long day, so I'm not sure who she was putting the fault on. I started eating the burger, and it didn't have swiss cheese on it. Apart from the meat, the only toppings on this burger are mushrooms, cheese, spinach, and mayo, so it should be pretty difficult to forget adding one. Maybe Skye forgot whether I had asked for it without mayo or cheese and went with both or the new cook forgot the cheese. I don't know. I let her know, told her that I had already started eating because I was really hungry, and that I didn't need a new burger or anything. I sat back down at my table, and heard her call for a piece of swiss cheese in the kitchen because one of her customers wanted it. *facepalm* No, I am not going to sit here and eat a single slice of Swiss Cheese, but thanks for the effort I guess. The onion rings came out with another plate that had a square of swiss cheese on it. Burger's eaten by now. Skye apologized again and asked if I needed anything else. Just the bill, thanks. When I got ready to leave, she said thank you and she hoped I had a good night. I told her the same and found out that she would because it's been a long day and she's almost off. The food was as good as IHOP food always is. I enjoyed the burger even without the cheese. Service could use some help, maybe more training or manager supervision. Skye was very friendly, and I could tell she was genuinely apologetic about the mistakes. However, the mistakes happened, I was only checked on once or twice despite the restaurant being almost empty, and telling customers that you've had a rough week or that you're going to have a good night because you're about to get off is not professional. With some training from a manager or more experienced server, Skye could do a great job. Because of her friendly attitude and smile, I still had an ok time. A manager's apology, part of my ticket comped, or coupons/vouchers for my next visit would have been appreciated. Decent food, less than stellar service.

This is not IHOP at its best. For starters its in the shady side of town and food had no taste. I only do IHOP after late night drinking which would usually make up for the quality of the food. But the one time I came here the beer couldn't cover up how run down and tasteless this food was.

Well, thanks to someone that took a mop to the floor just as we received our food, my companions and I never really got to taste the food when it was hot. We put it all into to-go boxes and left. The smell was horrible, like someone put 10 times the amount of cleaner in the water. Gave us all headaches and Nausea. Food ended up going to my dog, cant really heat up food like that and make it taste good.

It's IHOP - You know already have an idea of the food, and menu. Nothing extraordinary, nor did it disappoint. What was extraordinary was my waitress - Belinda. She was so pleasant, courteous, and just an all around sweetheart. As someone who was once a waitress at IHOP, I know how hard and sometimes unrewarding the job can be, but Belinda had me fooled. She is 2 of the 4 stars. My check was $13 and change. I tipped her a little over $19. Belinda - I will be back. Not sure when, but yes I will be back.

Horrible horrible horrible service. We waited for over and hour and twenty minutes for breakfast for 4! Worst ihop experience we've ever had! I feel bad for the people waiting to be seated! How can you mess up toast? Seriously?!
